Whenever I post an outfit on here, it is an outfit that I have actually worn all day that day, either at work or at home or both. So my outfits are practical for a working mom, meaning the clothes are comfortable and move well with me, wash well, and are suitable for the weather we are having that day.
Today is a good example of how I’m keeping it real. I love the combination of light blue and white and I love the white pants trend in the spring and summer, I just think it looks so fresh and bright and happy. The top I’m wearing is from Old Navy (I bought it a couple of months ago) and I have washed it and because I’m a working mom, I can’t be bothered with ironing…I just don’t have time. So my shirt today is not perfectly pressed by any means lol. I washed it in the washing machine, hung it to dry and then threw it on with my white jeggings (keep in mind that I’ve been wearing it for half of the day now so it’s more wrinkled that it was when I first put it on this morning!). I’m wearing a lace cami under my blue and white striped top…I just love to wear camis. In my office today, this outfit is perfect. Outside however, it is scorching hot and when I get home I’ll have to change into shorts for sure.
I threw in a little pop of color with the red and gold bracelet today, keeping the rest of my accessories gold and my shoes neutral.
I think this outfit looks put together, even though the shirt and pants are NOT ironed, I spent 2 seconds putting my hair into a pony tail and 5 mins doing the most minimal make-up routine possible that I do every day J Also, the pants were about $15 at Costco (bought them in the spring) and the top I got on sale for about $20. The necklace I got at Rickis on sale for about $7. Shoes were from payless and were about $50. So, you don’t need to spend a bunch of time ironing your clothes, styling your hair, and doing your make up and you don’t need to spend a fortune to look put together J
