What I’m doing for exercise lately!

Before Christmas I had finished a 4 week program designed to heal my diastasis recti (DR), you can read my posts about it here.  At the end of the 4 weeks, my gym closed L and I wasn’t sure how I was going to go about getting my workouts in or what type of workout I wanted to do next.  I took a couple of week off from exercising because I got pretty sick and just couldn’t do it.

While I was sick, I started to explore different options for workout programs.  I looked at some free programs like this one.  I looked at some programs that charged a fee like this one that focuses specifically on diastasis recti.  I even thought about creating my own workout program.

I decided that I wanted to try something completely different than what I had been doing since my second baby was born (which was focused on DR).  So I started to think about getting a membership to Beach Body on Demand because there are soooooo many workouts to choose from I figured I could never get bored lol.  If you read my post about 10 random facts about me, then you know that I love to dance when no one is watching even though I am terrible at it lol.

While I was checking out the different types of workouts in Beach Body on Demand, I found one called CIZE, where you get your workout by dancing your little bum off!  I was sold!  That was about 4 weeks ago and I have been dancing up a storm in my basement with CIZE ever since and loving it!!  I have no idea if my body is changing, but it makes me really happy and I feel pretty darn good.  I should snap a pic of my body and compare it to where I left off at the end of the last program I did to see if there have been any noticeable changes!

I have had a look at some of the other workouts on Beach Body on Demand and although I’ll have to modify some of the exercises in most of the workouts (because of my DR and because of my knee – I have had a couple of major surgeries on my right knee due to injuries), I am pretty sure I can make it work.  For now though, I’m having so much fun CIZEIN IT UP!!
