Flannel and lace!

I love to pair a very feminine fabric with a tougher more casual one, like lace and flannel, or lace and leather or sequins with denim, the list goes on!  Why do I like this?  Well, my style is pretty casual as I’m sure you have noticed.  I am most comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt!  But, sometimes I see a frilly little lace top or a sparkly, shinny skirt, or a tulle skirt or something and I just fall in love!!!  But then I think…when am I ever going to wear this?  And I talk myself out of buying it.  I have recently discovered that if I wear that girly frilly item with some more casual pieces of clothing, I can tone down the look and end up with an outfit that is wearable for things like date night or lunch dates or just running errands and still be comfortable 🙂
