An essential fall jacket – the anorak jacket!

It has been a bit rainy lately and I have been getting a lot of use out of my water resistant anorak jacket.  I bought this jacket (online of course) last spring at Suzy Shier.  I love the olive green color because it goes with pretty much any other color.  The body of the jacket has a nice warm lining to it, the sleeves don’t though so it’s a good jacket for a warmish, rainy fall or spring day.  I also wear it when it’s not raining.  The material on the outside is water resistant, not water proof so it’s soft and not stiff.

It was cold today so I put on a nice warm cardi under my anorak jacket and then a black v-neck long sleeve t-shirt.  This cardi is one of my favorites and it’s from Mother Hood maternity lol!  I know they say that you should not wear maternity clothes after you have had your baby and lost you baby weight and all of that.  But this is just an open front cardi…not designed with extra room in the belly or anything so I have kept it and it’s the only maternity piece that I still have.  I actually totally forgot that it was from a maternity until I looked at the tag the other day to see where the sweater was from!  So it’s all good right?!

Of course during wet weather my Hunter rain boots are my go to.  They keep my feet dry in the nastiest of weather!!
