Hi lovelies! Today I am sharing 2 dressy Valentine’s Date outfits! Plus, I am excited to share a little shoe secret/treasure that you should all know about!
In my first outfit below, I’ve combined pink and red (what better colors for V-Day?!)! Maybe not a color combo that most would think to try, but I think it’s fun and a bit unexpected! What do you think? Do you like pink and red together? Also, you’ll notice the second bag that I’ve added to my tiny purse collection!! A little Guess gold and silver sparkle clutch! I figured I need a dressy bag in my collection for those rare times that I actually get all dressed up lol. And this bag being a mix of two metal colors should go with everything right? I think it’s really cute and adds an extra little something to my outfit!
In my second outfit I went with a warmer option with this pink sweater and then a really pretty black lace pencil skirt that I’m LOVING! The skirt is such a nice length and very elegant! Same cute little clutch and then some fantastic t-strap heels (trying not to let them sink in the snow lol!)!
Now, on to the shoe secret!!! Both of the shoes in this post (the red strappy heels and the black t-strap pumps) are different from the typical shoes that you see in stores at the mall! These shoes are actually made for ball room dancing! Yup!
What does this mean exactly?! It means that they are waaaaayyyyy more comfortable than regular heels (like wearing slippers) because they are designed to be worn while women dance and turn and spin on the balls of their feet. They have more cushioning in the soles and the bottom of the shoe is actually mostly fabric so you don’t slip. Plus, most of the designs are made to get in and out of quickly so they have special straps that allow you to do that! You’ll see in the pictures below that it looks like the straps that hold your feet into the shoes have buckles like any other shoe. BUT, although you CAN use the buckles to adjust how tight or lose your shoe is on your foot, you don’t have to buckle and unbuckle the shoes each time you put it on! Wait what?! Yah, there is actually a little hook that you can just slide the strap in and out of, super quick, super easy! I actually wore these black t-straps when I was pregnant they were comfortable, stable, pretty and I could easily use the hook system to get the shoes on and off 🙂
So, where do I get these fantastic shoes (I have several pairs now and have been wearing them for years!)?! Baila Shoes! They have many many different designs AND you can customize them! You can choose the design you like, then order the heel height that you want and the width that you want! Most of mine have a 3 inch heel (I just can’t go any higher because of my crappy knee) but if you like a 4 or 5 inch heel, you can do that, or if you like a shorter heel you can do that too! The possibilities are endless!!! Prom, weddings, any occasion really!! I wear mine at work! Below you will see part of the Baila Shoes boutique 🙂
Baila Shoes has a website although I believe it is currently under construction. You can contact them in the link above though and they will get you all hooked up with whatever your heart desires!!
Full disclosure on these shoes from Baila Shoes: I received them for free but was not asked to write about them. Also, the owner of Baila Shoes is my mother 🙂 The opinions in this post are my own, I decided to write about these shoes because I think they are amazing and wanted to share my secrete. Thank you to Baila Shoes for providing these awesome shoes!!
